Sangini - minority led women’s health organisation

Sangini (a friend in Hindi) is a minority led women’s health organisation. It was set up in 2002 by a group of women who identified a gap in the area of health and looked for ways to raise awareness about it. As a multi- cultural organisation, the emphasis was also on promoting arts and cultural activities of diversity.

It soon emerged that it can play a crucial role in tackling inequalities in health through artistic/creative interventions while enhancing social cohesion. Today Sangini has evolved into an organisation with credibility, vision and capacity to deliver its work to highest professional standards.
