New Beginnings Nursery (Southwick Primary)

New Beginnings offers places for children aged 6 months to 5 years. 

Free early education places for 2 year olds are available for families who meet the relevant eligibility criteria. 

The setting also provide funded places for 3 & 4 year olds including 30 hours places for eligible families.

New Beginnings Nursery is a fully inclusive setting that strives to provide a high quality service for all children who attend and provide a happy, secure and caring environment which cares for children regardless of race, culture, gender or disability. 

The setting has an Elklan level 4 qualification for communication friendly setting and language and literacy for children aged 2-4 years.  

This setting is registered for Tax Free Childcare.

The setting work closely with a range of professionals, such as speech and language therapist, physiotherapist, autism outreach, family workers and health visitors to support all children to reach their full potential. The setting uses Launchpad for Literacy as a tool to support children’s skills, by building a foundation for school readiness. For more information www.launchpadforliteracy.co.uk Staff have extensive experience and knowledge of working with children with special educational needs. Staff have qualifications in Level 2 in ‘Understanding Autism’. Staff have been trained in Portage, Makaton and PECS. Staff use a range of communication methods to support children's communication and interactions such as object for reference, symbols, intensive interactions and Makaton.
