Complex Behaviour Service

The Complex Behaviour Service (CBS) provides behavioural support to parents and carers of children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or a learning disability.

The CBS aims to deliver a 6 week collaborative intervention that will help empower families with information and support around a specific behaviour.  This could include:

  • Home visits
  • School observations
  • Direct work with the child
  • Feedback visits
  • Advice, information, signposting and strategies

The success of the CBS intervention relies upon the commitment and motivation of parents and carers.  Therefore, there is a requirement that parents and carers play an active role in the process, in order to affect behavioural change.

To make a referral, the CBS can be contacted via the Children with Disabilities Team on 0191 561 3125 or cbs@togetherforchildren.org.uk
