YMCA Sunderland

We offer accommodation, support and education to the homeless aged 16 to 35 in a residenial project and in dispersed outreach properties across the City. 

There is also an on-site training and computer suite and an offer of a Job Club, Employability and Work Ready courses, issue based drop-in sessions, including sexual health sessions, peer education etc and also a Volunteer Project. 

We also facilitate a multi-agency drug and alcohol clinic, undertake family mediation and various accredited and unaccredited educational courses at all levels.

Criteria for access
Anyone aged over the age of 16, homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless and able to claim Housing Benefit Allowance.
