National Apprenticeships Service (NAS)

The National Apprenticeship (NAS) supports, funds and co-ordinates the delivery of Apprenticeships throughout England.  NAS are responsible for increasing the number of Apprenticeship opportunities and providing a dedicated, responsive service for both employers and learners.  This includes simplifying the process of recruiting an apprentice through Apprenticeship vacancies, an online system where employers can advertise their apprenticeship job vacancies and potential apprentices can apply.

Criteria for access
There are three types of Apprenticeship you can apply for depending on your current skills and qualifications:

  1. Intermediate Level Apprenticeships
  2. Advanced Level Apprenticeships
  3. Higher Apprenticeships

Universal services
The National Apprenticeship Service is a universal service with minimum entry requirements.

Young people with a learning difficulty and / or disability may want to look at apprenticeships in conjunction with face-to-face help from someone professionally qualified to give careers information, advice and guidance.
