The Autism Outreach Team is a well established multi disciplinary team, based at Columbia Grange School, comprising representatives from Education, Health and Social Care.
The AOT offers support and guidance to professionals, parents/carers and children/young people.
The AOT is a key partner in the diagnostic process, as part of the ‘Diagnostic Pathway’. The Pathway team comprises representatives from Autism Outreach Team, Children & Young People's Services and Speach and Language Team.

- Consultation with multi agency professionals
- Training for professionals e.g. ASD Awareness
- Training for parents/carers e.g. EarlyBird, EarlyBird Plus, Healthy Minds, Jigsaw, SpeakEasy
- Training for pupils e.g. ASD Awareness
Targeted services
- Support schools in relation to policy, provision and practice for pupils with AS
- Code of Practice Reviews for pupils with AS
- Consultation with parents/carers of childen with AS
- Training for professionals e.g. Visual Strategies, Social Stories, Sensory Strategies
- Training for parents/carersof children with AS e.g. EarlyBird, EarlyBird Plus, Healthy Minds, Jigsaw, SpeakEasy
- Transition planning for pupils with AS
- Supporting the FSA process for pupils with AS
- Develop and manage Autism database
