Apple Blossom Day Nursery is registered with OFSTED for up to 93 children and we have the EYFS curriculum and best practice at the core of everything we do. We pride ourselves on being a caring, diverse and inclusive nursery and we have a beautiful setting in a superb 5000 sq ft listed building with wonderful outdoor play facilities. Open 51 weeks of the year from 07:30 to 18:00.
We have a brilliant, highly dedicated and caring team of staff many of whom have been with the setting in excess of 8 years. This helps us to create consistency for your child as ensuring a low turnover of staff enables your child to bond with their key person, giving you the extra assurance that your child is well looked after.
Our SENCo and all staff work with other agencies, including the educational psychology service, SALT, medical and social services and voluntary bodies, putting in place a graduated response system to meet children’s needs at the earliest opportunity, liaising with parents sharing information to achieve the right outcome for the child.
All meals and snacks are freshly prepared on site by our chef and we strive to deliver a well balanced and nutritious menu each and every day. We aim to offer a minimum of 6 portions of fresh fruit & vegetables to our children each day. Our chef caters for all allergies and special requirements.
The nursery has lovely secure gardens which were completely re-designed and commissioned in 2010 with play equipment, sand pits, grass and cushioned surfaces for play as well as an amphitheatre for storytelling, raised flower and veg beds for children to grow plants / veg, “Talk Tubes”, “Mountain Slide” and scrambling area, puddle play and outdoor musical equipment.
We also operate a very successful out of schools club / holiday club during non term time and accept children up to the age of 7 years 11 months.
