My name is Bernadette, usually known as Bernie. I am Ofsted registered, graded GOOD.
I have raised 3 children which are now grown up. We are a non-smoking household with no pets, everyone at home has been CRB checked.
I offer home from home flexible care including weekends. I am First Aid trained which is renewed every 3 years and a member of PACY and I child. I have over 30 years experience working with children of all ages. I have a long standing commitment to the Girl Guiding association as Brown Owl and Guide Leader and in the past I worked for Sunderland City Council as a Play Scheme Worker. I enjoy swimming, walking and craft.
The children in my care will have fun in a safe environment, I have a dedicated room for the children to play in and a garden. I work closely with parents to provide a safe, happy, healthy environment that will allow your baby/child to develop and learn new skills through play - at their own individual pace. I believe parents are the child's main educators and they know their childrens needs better than anybody.

I work towards the framework that is mandatory for all early years providers EYFS.
The things on offer will be -
Homework, Drawing/colouring and painting, baking, gardening, collage, model making, crafts, sewing, interactive games, books, storytelling, seasonal activities, games, puzzles, jigsaws, outdoor activities, visits to museums and art gallery's, local toddler groups.
I will focus on activities that interest the children in my care.
