Dementia Action Week Event

Sunderland City Council and Sunderland Carers Centre, are holding an event to encourage everyone to start conversations about dementia. Information, advice and guidance will be available from Sunderland Carers Centre’s Dementia Advice Service and our other partner agencies. Refreshments are included. Commemorative Service for 75th Anniversary of D-Day

Veterans and the families of those who took part in the D-Day landings will join the Mayor and Mayoress of Sunderland, Councillor David Snowdon and Councillor Dianne Snowdon, at the war memorial in Burdon Road on Thursday 6 June from 10.30am onward for a Commemoration Service which the public are welcome to attend to show their support. The BIG Walk

The BIG Walk is returning on the 30th June from Herrington Country Park there will be three routes to choose from. A 3 mile family friendly walk with scavenger hunt will provide an engaging opportunity to discover more about one of the city's finest outdoor spaces.
