Sunderland University, School of Education SEN Data Analysis

Together for Children worked with Sunderland University to analyse current Special Educational Needs data trends to support future planning.

The aims of the research were to:

  • carry out analysis of existing data sets from the Council to gain insight into extent and nature of special educational needs and disability requirements for 3-16 year olds in Sunderland
  • carry out qualitative research with key stakeholders from the National Health Service (NHS) and Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)
  • promote a report with supporting evidence on findings to inform Sunderland City Council's 5 year strategy¬†
