Digital skills advice

In this section you can find information and support about Digital inclusion to make sure you have the right access, skills and motivation to go online confidently.

Digital inclusion

Digital inclusion is about having the right access, skills, motivation and trust to go online confidently.  It is broken down into 3 main areas;

1. Digital skills - being able to use computers and the internet.
2. Connectivity - having access to computers and the internet.
3. Accessibility - meeting the needs of the users, ensuring the information is accessible.

There are many benefits for being digitally included, some include;

  • staying connected with family and friends
  • having more control over your health and wellbeing
  • accessing training sites and job opportunities
  • a wider choice of products at lower prices

Help shape the Council website

We need people like you to try out new web sites, apps and other products to make sure they work for people.

How does it work?

  1. Sign up to become a member of our user group
  2. We'll match you to any opportunities that come in where you fit the criteria
  3. When a feedback session becomes available, you'll receive an invite asking if you want to take part in it

You can find more information on the Council's Help share the website web page.
